The same group rate applies to 1–6 guests, including solo travelers. Children and infants count toward the total group size, and there is no separate child rate.
A 10% seasonal surcharge applies to all private tours during the following periods:
March 1 – June 30
September 1 – November 30
December 27 – January 5
Prices cover guide services only. Transportation costs for guests and the guide, food and drinks, and admission fees are paid separately by the group.

Can the itinerary be customized?
Yes. Tell us the places you want to visit, the themes that interest you, and the pace you prefer. We’ll propose a route within Kyoto City that fits your group and the time available.
Can I request a different tour length or start time?
Yes. Four and eight hours are our standard custom-tour options, but other durations and start times may be available. Share your preferences in the inquiry form, and we’ll confirm availability and pricing by email.
Where does the tour start and end?
For custom tours, we’ll agree on a meeting point by email. Your guide can meet you at your accommodation in central Kyoto on request.
Private bookings of our paid walking tours normally begin at the tour’s usual meeting point. If you prefer a different meeting point, please contact us to discuss the location.
Your booked time begins when you meet your guide and ends at the final stop of the agreed itinerary.
What languages are available for private tours?
Private tours are available in English and Spanish. Other languages may be available on request.
Can solo travelers and families book a private tour?
Yes. Solo travelers, families, children, and infants are welcome. The same group rate applies to 1–6 guests, including solo travelers. Children and infants count toward the total group size, and there is no separate child rate. Groups of 7 or more should contact us for a custom quote.
What is included in the price?
The price covers guide services only. Transportation costs for guests and the guide, food and drinks, and admission fees are paid separately by the group.
We do not arrange private vehicles, purchase tickets, or make restaurant reservations.
How do I book a private tour?
Submit the inquiry form with your preferred date, start time, group size, language, and interests. We’ll confirm availability and work out the details by email.
Once we’ve agreed on the itinerary and price, we’ll send payment instructions. Your booking is confirmed after full payment.
